In this episode, Obesity Medicine Specialist and OMA Clinical Education Director Dr. Nicholas Pennings and Dr. Andreas Acosta discuss the importance of aligning appropriate lifestyle interventions to each of the four key phenotypes that explain about eighty-five percent of patients with obesity. Andreas Acosta, MD, PhD is an assistant professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. Acosta presented his exciting research at the OMA Fall 2022 Obesity Summit in Anaheim, CA, in a presentation titled “Phenotype-Guided Lifestyle Intervention for Obesity Management"
